In need of inspiration for the Black Friday deals ahead? Confused at where to start? Unsure of who will partake? You’ve come to the right place. I was the same until I did some Google digging.

To save you the hassle, I have compiled an extensive list of the expected deals that I am most excited about, as well as the products that are on my wish list this year. Expect long and oversized coats, high neck tops, jewellery and even more jewellery.

Not forgetting, of course, the shoes. I’m a big fan of the pointy boot/mules worn with printed tights trend, which graced plenty of the AW19 catwalks earlier this year. And I must warn you, leather is my stylistic crush this season, so plenty of buttery soft textures, wet look attitude and sturdy structures awaits you below.

In case you were wondering when this discount marvel will be taking place: Black Friday falls on the last Friday of November (the 29th this year) and usually finishes the following Cyber Monday.

Last year saw so many retailers start their sale earlier and lengthen it further than the weekend bracket, however, that the average duration is now hard to decipher ahead of the date.

The December calendar includes the advent of winter, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Three momentous occasions that call for a winter wardrobe revival, gifts for loved ones, and an occasion dress, all of which have the potential to be ticked off in this one discounted weekend alone.

Online exclusives, combined with the reliability of stock supply, suggests most shoppers will opt for the comfort of their own home when tackling the period of sales. So, I’ve compiled my research to follow suit. This is deceptively dangerous, however, and I can’t stress enough how wise it is to always question purchase intent.

I, of all people, can understand how tempting it may be to splurge a little during this time of steals – you do not want to know how much longer my wish list is in reality compared to the one provided below... Shopping smart is not only wise for your money bank and wardrobe, but also the environment.

So, figure out what you need in your life, how many pennies you can spare, how much cashback you can make, and most importantly, plan ahead.

Rokit

Last year, Rokit had up to 50% off online and up to 75% off in stores on the Black Friday weekend so, as you can imagine, they are high on my radar this year. Rokit is the perfect place for those who are stylish and sustainability conscious, offering reworked vintage, designer gems and limited-edition statement pieces.

These Bleacher Jeans are the perfect example of their ability to breathe a new lease of life into old items. I always prefer my leather items to be second hand because I like it to have a worn in effect for fit and style purposes, and Rokit offer racks and racks of gorgeous one-off leather pieces, such as this Tommy Hilfiger pair.

COS

Renowned for their laid back, minimalist and chic approach to fashion, the Scandi brand COS has won the hearts of many for their adaptable and high-quality garments.

Last year, they generously offered 20% off full price items for customers and we expect the same this year. COS does basics like no other so you can rest assured that your purchase will see you through more than just one season.

These wedge mules are a modern classic, this bag is a must have for adaptable practicality, and this turtleneck in light green has reimagined the traditional shape with a ribbed flare.

TOPSHOP

2018 saw Topshop offer up to 50% off everything, with the sale starting a few days before Black Friday and ending at midnight on the Monday. We expect this year to follow a similar suit, or perhaps even better.

On their website they have a page dedicated entirely to the days, hours and minutes until the Cyber weekend begins… surely that means something big? What will be added to my basket once it hits? This glorious taffeta dress, sequinned tiger print skirt and dainty heels with buckle, which are all very promising options for NYE.

MANGO

“The most anticipated time of the year is approaching…” Mango tells us on their website. Last year, the retailer offered a whopping 30% off site wide, so my fingers are crossed that the same applies for this year.

My go-to for sophisticated glamour and wearable catwalk inspirations, Mango is at the top of my list this Black Friday. I think it’s time I treated myself to those Celine inspired boots and luxe sequin fringed dress, don’t you?

ASOS

Last year, ASOS offered 20% off for the entire weekend, and hints have been made on their website that the same will apply this year. ASOS is a great site to visit if you need some style inspiration because it stocks 850 brands.

In addition, you can shop many of your favourite high street shops, such as Topshop, Weekday and New Look, so it has the potential to be a one stop wonder this Black Friday. ASOS DESIGN jewellery is on my wish list this year for its uniquely embellished designs at such a low price, and the Supriya Lele inspired ZYA dress, along with the blouson sleeved magenta dress, make perfect accompaniments.

JD Sports

JD Sports offered up to 30% off on a huge range of sportswear and trainers last year and we are hoping the same applies this Black Friday. I’ve had my eye on New Balance’s 608 shoes for a while now – they have been crowned the comfiest and most adaptable shoe for London Fashion Week by friends in the industry.

Likewise, the Nike 720 trainers are reportedly the springiest in the business, and Puma’s RS-X trainers have been heralded for their chic approach to the dad trainer. You can never go wrong with one too many pairs of trainers, right?

Farfetch

Farfetch, the online luxury fashion retail site, is a strong contender for me this Black Friday, not only for the fact it stocks over 3,000 brands but more for the fact that it showcases independent designers and boutiques from all around the world that often, I’ve never heard of.

And even though Farfetch are generous all year round with their discounts, they currently offer 30% extra off on sale, on Black Friday last year they offered up to 70% off. My wish list includes Christopher Kane and his sequinned dresses, Ganni and their easy to wear dresses, and finally, Fendi and their logo embroidered tights.

Net-a-Porter

If last year is anything to go by, Net-a-Porter will be the place to visit for your designer frills and discount thrills. Black Friday in 2018 saw them launch a mid-season sale on the same date with a reduction of up to 50%. Brands like Rixo and Loeffler Randall will be on my wish list for more affordable items, whereas these Fendi boots, which are the It shoe of the season, will be my splurge of the year.
